- Heavy metals: Arsenic was found to exceed the standard for sediment quality in surface water sources at every measurement point, exceeding the standard level to protect benthic animals but not affecting human health at 13 points. Arsenic was found to exceed the standard level that is unsafe for benthic animals, and if villagers consume fish in large quantities and regularly, it could be harmful to health at 2 points, at the Two Land Bridge, Ban Mae Salak (KK03) and the Chaloem Phrakiat 1 Bridge, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province (KK09).
